Terms and Conditions

The terms we ship under.

Draft — subject to legal review. This is a working draft prepared for Sasulos. It must be reviewed and approved by Ghana legal counsel before it takes effect. Deliberately left open are all commercial figures, liability limits, prohibited goods lists and penalties — these are marked [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM] and have not been invented here.

1. Quotes and estimates

The shipping calculator on this website produces an estimate only. It is not a quotation, not a booking, and it does not create an invoice or reserve space on a vessel or flight.

A figure becomes binding only when Sasulos issues an invoice calculated from the measurement confirmed at our China warehouse, using the rate in force on the day that invoice is issued.

2. Measurement and classification

The volume (CBM) or actual weight recorded at the Sasulos China warehouse governs the final shipping charge, and takes precedence over any figure the customer supplied beforehand.

  • Sea freight is charged per cubic metre of confirmed volume.
  • Air freight is charged on confirmed actual weight. Sasulos does not apply volumetric weight.
  • Air cargo is classified as Normal Goods, Battery Goods or Special Goods, and the classification confirmed at our warehouse determines the rate applied.

Minimum billable volume, minimum billable weight and any rounding rule: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

3. Accurate declaration of goods

The customer must declare the contents of their shipment accurately and completely before the goods are sent to our warehouse. This applies in particular to batteries, power banks, devices with cells built in, liquids, chemicals, and any goods that are restricted or require special handling.

Goods that are found on inspection to differ from what was declared may be reclassified, re-rated, held, returned or refused. The consequences and any charge that applies: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

4. Prohibited and restricted goods

Certain goods cannot be carried, and others can be carried only with prior approval. The list of prohibited goods, the list of restricted goods, and the approval process are [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM] and must be checked against the rules of the carriers Sasulos uses and the import rules of Ghana.

5. What the shipping charge includes

Whether each of the following is included in the quoted rate or charged separately must be stated explicitly before launch: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM]

  • Customs duties and import taxes in Ghana
  • Customs clearance and documentation fees
  • Port, terminal and handling charges
  • Inland delivery within Ghana
  • Cargo insurance
  • Storage beyond the free period
  • Special handling for restricted or oversized cargo

6. Transit times

Any transit time or arrival date given by Sasulos is an estimate based on the carrier’s published schedule. Vessel and flight schedules, port congestion, customs processing and weather can change arrival dates. Sasulos does not guarantee a specific arrival date unless it has agreed one in writing.

7. Payment

Invoices are issued in United States dollars. Payment terms, the accepted payment methods, whether payment in Ghana cedis is accepted, and who sets the exchange rate applied are [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

Where a customer settles a USD invoice in cedis, Sasulos records the amount received, the exchange rate used and the USD equivalent credited to the invoice.

Consequences of late payment, including any charge or interest: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

8. Release, collection and storage

Conditions for releasing goods — including whether the invoice must be settled in full before release, what identification is required at collection, the free storage period after arrival, and storage charges after that period — are [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

How long Sasulos will hold uncollected goods, and what happens to them afterwards: [FOR LEGAL REVIEW].

9. Loss, damage and claims

The claims process, the deadline for notifying Sasulos of loss or damage, the evidence required, and the basis on which any claim is assessed are [FOR LEGAL REVIEW].

Sasulos’s liability position, including any limit of liability and any exclusions, must be set by Ghana legal counsel and aligned with the terms of the carriers Sasulos uses: [FOR LEGAL REVIEW]. No liability cap has been assumed in this draft.

Whether cargo insurance is offered, and on what terms: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

10. Communication

Sasulos will contact customers using the phone number, WhatsApp number or email address they provide. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep those details current. Which notification channels are used, and at which points in the shipment, are [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

Shipment status is available at any time through the tracking page using the tracking number issued to the customer.

11. China visa assistance

Sasulos may provide administrative guidance such as a document checklist, document-preparation review and appointment guidance for China visa applications. Sasulos is not a visa authority, does not decide applications and does not guarantee approval, processing time, visa validity or issuance.

The customer remains responsible for providing accurate, complete and genuine information and for following the current requirements issued by the relevant visa authorities. Official fees, service scope, timelines and any document-submission process must be confirmed before work begins: [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts and dispute resolution process that apply are [FOR LEGAL REVIEW].

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@sasuloscargos.com or +233 54 238 1294. The registered entity name, address and company number are [FOR SASULOS TO CONFIRM].
